British Columbia is the most westerly province in Canada and known for three things in particular: Skiing, mountain biking and hiking. Situated on the Pacific coast, the region is known for its monumental mountains and vast forests. Natural attractions include the Glacier National Park, where you can also shred some trails easily.
On Vancouver Island, or rather at the tip of the peninsula in the Clayoquot Sound, lays the tiny district of Tofino, which has now blossomed into a surfing hotspot. Year-round surfing is possible here, not far from Cox Bay, Chesterman Beach and the famous Long Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park.
And because Tofino can easily compete with the most beautiful surf spots ever, this place is honoured by King of Surf Pete Devries. In this short film worth watching, Devries shows us how much quality there is in a few well-wasted days in Tofino.
Here are five minutes well spent. Enjoy!
